A progressive revolution is the process of bringing about a democratic system whereby the will of the people becomes the law of the land. Where this has happened it is due to using electoral and constitutional methods which protect the rights of minorities, enables majorities to make decisions, allows citizens to learn from the mistakes of their representatives, and prevents corruption of the system by an illegitimate few who would undermine the will of the majority of The People.
There are key prerequisites for achieving such a revolution in our national affairs. Among them are progressive political unity, unprecedented numbers in movement activities, a clearly developed electoral plan for structural change, and a critical mass of people who have decided that nothing short of revolutionary structural change will do to improve our nation and save our planet.
